Vice President of Assets and Engineering
Scott Graves joined Host in 2004 as a boarding agent. He boarded ships for three years before leaving to work as a local shipyard’s superintendent. In 2008, Scott rejoined Host to oversee two terminal operations and has since been promoted to several other roles within the company. In 2017, he took on his current role of VP Assets and Engineering, overseeing large equipment acquisition as well as new terminal design, construction implementation, and startup operations.
Prior to joining Host, he worked for the Elizabeth River Ferry system, where he was a ferry captain, responsible for transporting pedestrians between the cities of Norfolk and Portsmouth. Scott has held his USCG Masters license since he was 19 years old, the youngest one can be to obtain the credential.
He holds a bachelor’s in business and public administration from Old Dominion University.
