Exceptional Safety Standards

All Host employees—from the people in our accounting and HR departments to our agents and terminal operators—are required to learn our safety standards.

Agents and terminal staff receive top-of-the-line personal protective equipment (PPE) and the same Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) package. We also supplement these HSE packages with our own proprietary, site-specific safety procedures and methods for each terminal, which we develop through detailed Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).

At every one of our terminal locations, we have a daily discussion to promote safety and identify hazards. In addition to the daily discussions, our terminals hold mandatory, topic-driven safety training days every month.

Safety Scorecards

We send monthly safety score cards to each of our terminal clients to report on our performance. We hold ourselves accountable for the well-being of every employee, and we expect our customers to hold us accountable as well.
