T. Parker Host, Inc. held it's annual Operational Retreat in Louisiana this month on September 17-19, 2014.

The event brought together company leaders from Operations Departments, several Regional Managers, and the Executive Team. Solidifying working relationships and strategy is especially important for teams whose members are based at different offices.  Host values annual retreats like this one as opportunities for innovation, strategy, and training.  The Executive Team led discussions and breakout sessions on topics including:

  • State of the Company
  • Long-Range Strategic Planning
  • Safety
  • Reporting Systems

NateMorganThis year’s Operational Retreat was held at the Woodland Plantation & Spirits Hall in West Pointe a la Hache, LA. Located on the Mississippi River, the plantation has a rich and storied history. The plantation is over 180 years old, and was built by one of America’s first chief river pilots, Captain William Johnson.

Host set up different team building activities during the retreat including two fishing trips along the Deep Mississippi Delta. To the right is a picture of Nate Morgan, Operations Manager for Norfolk, Virginia, holding the catch of the day!
