Host Terminals kicked off operations at the brand-new Enviva Biomass facility in Wilmington, NC on September 29, 2016. “I’ve been involved in the commissioning of three port facility startups,” said Terminal Manager Shane Gaither. “This is my first one with Host, and it was the smoothest so far.” The terminal received three trucks of pellets from the Enviva Sampson Plant that day. Our team made adjustments after the first truck, and it was normal operations from that point forward.

“I credit the Enviva personnel who oversaw the building of the facility and our fantastic Host personnel,” said Shane. “They’ve been exceptional in both their willingness and ability to learn.”

Congratulations to our staff at the facility and to everyone at Enviva on a successful commissioning!
