November 24, 2014 by T. Parker Host Admin.
T. Parker Host, Inc. was proud to be in attendance for the 8th Annual Carter Gunn Memorial Stressbuster 8k on Saturday. This year the race was held on November 22, 2014 at First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Carter T. Gunn Fund, dedicated to educating the public about mental health and fighting depression. The Fund is part of the Vandeventer Black Foundation, a 501c3 organization that provides financial support to community causes.
The race began at 9:00am and participants had the choice of walking or running through the beautiful state park. Deep forests, sandy beaches and grassy marshes set the scene for this tranquil and purposeful Stressbuster.
Fresh air and nature can go a long way towards mental health, and T. Parker Host was pleased to participate in the fundraiser for the first time.
T. Parker was represented by five members of the team. DA Analyst Katlin Smith was the 3rd Female Overall and 1st in her age group (20-24) to complete the course. She received a medal and made us all very proud.
