HOST proudly announces the appointment of Amanda England as Vice President and General Manager for Avondale Terminal Services, a subsidiary of HOST. England brings nearly 30 years of expertise in terminals, shipping, and logistics to the role. As Vice President and General Manager, England will oversee all facets of Avondale Terminal’s operations and finances, marking a new era of leadership and redefining industry standards in the shipping industry.
England joined HOST as the Director of Logistics in 2019. Under her guidance, Avondale Terminal Services has witnessed remarkable growth, setting new benchmarks for efficiency and excellence. Leveraging her comprehensive knowledge, she successfully orchestrated the activation and management of HOST’s Federal Trade Zone, negotiated vendor agreements, and implemented a warehouse management system to enhance facility scheduling and product delivery. England is eager to continue fostering growth, increasing productivity and efficiency, and driving economic development at Avondale Global Gateway for the benefit of the entire region.

Prior to her tenure at HOST, England held key leadership positions in the maritime industry, including Vice President at Castleton Commodities International LLC, where she transformed the company’s dormant Louisiana terminal into a thriving, multi-faceted shipping hub, specializing in metals. Additionally, she led the expansion of Henry Bath LLC’s U.S. warehouses from 60,000 square feet in 2002 to over 2 million square feet across nine separate buildings by 2010 while leading her team to generate the highest revenue among 15 others at Henry Bath.
